Today I met an angel

Once upon a time in a forest far away
A little Girl lived in a concave cherry tree
It was a nice and cosy home
‘The best place in the world’
The little Girl said

The cherry tree did always smell good
And if she were hungry
She would eat some of the cherries
And if she were bored
All the animals in the forest would come to visit her

But one day an Adult were passing by
The Adult catch sight of the little Girl
Even though the Girl was singing and smiling
The Adult said to her:
‘This is no life for a little Girl like you’

Why isn’t it? The Girl wanted to know
Because you’re a child! The Adult announced
Can children not have fun? The curious Girl asked
Well... not when Adults isn’t around! The Adult said like a matter of course
Why are you Adults always so afraid of missing something? The Girl asked

Missing something? The Adult wasn’t sure what the Girl meant by that
Yeah, you always say ‘don’t do that’ and ‘stop doing that’ ! Do you ...
Say these things because you’re jealous and want to join our play? The Girl said
No, it’s because adults know better! The Adult sounded now satisfied
But you don’t smile or sing or play! The confused Girl said

The Adult heard the little Girl wise words
Maybe the Adult was wrong
And the little Girl right
The Adult did hardly ever smile
So maybe The Adult should try to smile

When the Adult began the walk home
The Adult were smiling and singing
The Adult felt cheerful and happy all thanks to the Girl
This little Girl must have been an angel or a princess!
And the Adult thought: A child is a miracle of God
