Defeat comes in many ways
from different directions
due to any number of causes
worse being defeat of self.
We are confronted in life
by many types of challenge
make them a win or lose contest
don't expect to always win.
Reach for success not triumph
defeat is a games outcome
some confuse it with failure
you only fail if you quit.
If you are defeated
the game is over, forget it
don't make success a game
or let failure be defeat.
Do not let trials and tribulations
be a game or cause of defeat
your strength is in faith
believe and never give up.
We all face hardships,
when all seems hopeless
just put one foot in front of the other
not having another step is defeat.

There is a positive and very inspirational message for living life...if we just give up in defeat then we have no life .... no matter if we win or achieve what we set out we cannot give up in our heart or soul...if we do then we are not living but existing. We are given many hurdles in life we just have to deal with them as best we can but always have faith in who we are
just take one step at a time deal with what you can and rise above for tomorrow is a brand new day. Excellent take on the prompt....good luck with this contest.
