As she stands in the rain:
Looking up the dark cumulus clouds,
Smiling softly.
As she always stood her ground,
Smiling through the pain.
Not shedding a single tear,
But as she runs with the wind.
The smile slowly fading,
Her hair wiping the lachrymose away.
Thunder roars with the aggressive wind,
Lighting flashes the images of her fears.
Fighting back the pain,
Running faster then her lungs can handle.
As she falls laughing out loud,
The tears continue to fall despite her laughter.
As she gets up standing her ground,
Going through the pain.
Realizing you can smile and still be in anguish,
Doesn't matter if you’re strong or not.
Throughout life you'll go through both,
Despite if you want or not.

Great imagery here Bella. Such power behind this piece here, it really makes the poem flow so well. You have written this with a lot of emotion within the words, which comes across so well too. Keep writing. And good luck for the contest too.

Good use of imagery and the poem seems to increase the pace as it ends on a high note of advice for the listener. This is a very thoughtful and creative writing, well done. Thank you for this fine entry into the contest and best of luck in the judging...PK
