My Sacred Land

There's a place that I know of,
Where my nostalgia goes for smiles.
A place I miss dearly,
Golden sand stretched for miles.

Sunset beauties and soothing winds
Where my childhood lived in full.
Dripping snow-cones & sticky fingers
Where my heart is always pulled.

I'd lay forever upon warmed sands,
Watch the sun go east to west.
The burning light would finally lay
Upon the ocean for its rest.

The crashing sound of Titan's waves,
Forever echoes inside my heart.
Though in distance we stand apart
The loving memories shall not depart.

In the night, our secret visits,
Where I'd whisper all my dreams
And blow them upon your winds
Where you'd lay them in moonlight beams.

Up on the cliff, above your body,
I'd watch you from afar;
Take deep breaths and close my eyes
As the man played his guitar.

In my mind I'm on your beach
And press my toes deep in wet sands
And feel the splash of each wave
For this beach is my sacred land.

Author notes

    Forever echos inside my heart.

    very beautiful...

sounds like a wonderful spot to have grown up. I love the ocean...it is so breathe taking every time you gaze at it: everyday or only once in your life. I have been to CA (different parts) and it is pristine...much better a place than the dirty city life that I live on the opposite side of the map (Atlanta GA). Hold on to your memories, may they motivate you to get what it is you truly want one day.

All I can say is WOW! This is like my childhood. I love the way you've worded this. It's beautiful. My favorite part is: "Watch the sun from east to west; till the burning light would finally lay upon the ocean, its head for rest." Shancy.

    BreathTaking!

My dear you have written a majestic masterpiece.
The images are as brilliant as the moonbeams
you speak of. I love the romantic flavor in
this piece. Asthough you were dreaming of
someone while writing this exquisite poem.
You are extremely talented and you tell a
story so well. Even without the magnificent
picture you used in this piece. this would
    be brilliant. Great great job!
