Sliding, slipping breaking the moulds,
Oh so full of pain, the voices meaning zero,
Chastised pawns frozen in time
Regarded useless by the tormentor,
The tortures they bore unknown and unheard
Blasting guns,
And rattling turrets
As explosions go off one by one,
Is this the world we've watched and raised?
A tale filled blood and gore,
With added musical voice
A demon barber and a director
Oh so full of pain, the voices meaning zero,
Chastised pawns frozen in time
Regarded useless by the tormentor,
The tortures they bore unknown and unheard
Blasting guns,
And rattling turrets
As explosions go off one by one,
Is this the world we've watched and raised?
A tale filled blood and gore,
With added musical voice
A demon barber and a director
Author notes
It made me laugh, it's a bit of an odd job great contest idea though!
I mainly write dark, but the title came from a light hearted poem i just wrote.
The third extract came from an anti-war contest.
And the fourth from a poem about the new Sweeney Tood film!
Hope it makes you smile!

Aye, this poem DOES make me smile!
How strangely beautiful this poem truly is!
It makes sense in a wonderful way that just goes to show how we can mix and match our poems and they are as good as can be!
