Afternoon siesta easements
upon tangential tides of surreal,
spreading serenity's satin sheets
to surf the rivulets of reverie.
Inner eyes swim
cerulean currents of calming,
which stream in soothing stillness
through the mind,
Memories scroll
crafted into reflection's sailboat
set adrift upon fantasia's ocean,
carrying the cargo of hope's fairy tales,
searching for an isle
where sandman's amusement park
is visited without presence of dragons.
Exhaling the wrinkles to the soul
from a day's crisis
while mermaid lover appears at doorway,
passing beyond the reefs in reality
for intimacy's horizon,
passion's creases to heart
on love's ironing board
always a journey
beyond the beaches of monotony
strolled in predictable and poignant steps.
