This angel of darkness finally fell
pleading release from Satan's dark spell,
though strength of his wings seem powerful and sure
for Lucifer's pleasure, pain he's had to endure.
But in creeps the light from God's heaven above
with wings beating softly like the peaceful flutter of the dove,
His love and forgiveness she embraces him with
for truly His blessedness is surely no myth.
He succumbs to the peace, giving way to the fact
that a pact with the devil will dark evil attract,
as the tears start to fall has he seen grace anew
but has he seen life through eyes that are true?
Or is this a ruse to capture one more
for ths devil doesn't give in easily and takes careful score,
so any attempt to surround the light with his evil
he'll surely use to create more upheavel.
The scene plays out with the victor unknown
for both will end up upon one of these thrones,
will it be the darkness that ends up surrounding
or the light with its grace that ends up abounding.
