You ask me why should you believe?
My answer is for you to breathe
the breath of life that feeds us all
To give you hope, however small.
Whilst breathing in, believe it's true,
A new found faith with breathe with you;
To lift you from your deep despair
and ride upon a sea of air.
You asked me why should you believe?
You're smiling now as you recieve,
the gift of promise in one breath,
to blow away the stench of death.

This is lovely. I think you meant "will" instead of "with" in Line 6. The last three words are a bit of a kick in the teeth. "stench" and "death" shock the reader back but the rest of the poem glows with a wonderful sense of hope and comfort. Well done with this. God bless!

As the wind moves through the trees, so the spirit of God breathes through us all, unseen, yet its effects evident among us! Beautiful poem...inspiring! I love the idea of breathing, how, once we give that final exhale, the life departs. It is the breath of God that circulates around us and moves through us and sustains us. This little poem leaves me with much to ponder, and I thank you for it. Aloha, friend. Hear my music at www.nakedadam.net
