You died in my arms that night
The coldness of your body still haunts me now
What remains would not ever disappear
I dream of you and how we used to be
At midnight I feel your presence beside me
And though I know this is not real but I feel you
I feel your tender fingers caress my face
To wipe away my salty tears
I lost you my love
And ever since you’ve gone I fail to feel content anymore
You were my angel
My biggest joy
You were my life my dear
No words could ever explain
My heart leaves an eternal message for you to see
Take a look inside
It reads ‘’ I love thee’’

Aww this is so sad but so sweet too. It made me think of my widowed mom. I wonder if she dreams of my dad since he has gone. Thanks for entering and good luck

So sad and poignant; I love how much emotion can be found in this poem. From the blunt and tragic opening to the sweet last line, your poem leads the reader through the emotions that your narrator has gone through. Thank you for entering my contest!

Well done, very well done. The tragedy of the lost love, something that no one can ever imagine the pain. You discribed this overwhelming burden of depression greatly. I enjoyed reading this one tremendously, and Im glad I came across it.
Silvos.
