and when I die...

starlight reflecting of the mirror,
cocaine flowing through my body,
fingers twitching, blood boiling,
and when I die, it will be in happiness.

smoke rising in the breeze,
marijuana pumping into my lungs,
bloodshot eyes, sweaty palms,
and when I die, it will be in happiness.

my eyes are dry of tears,
LSD changing all reality,
colors breaking, moonlight falling,
and when I die, it will be in happiness.

falling to my knees,
drugs take my mind,
going insane, shattered my life,
and when I die, i'll do it all over again.

Author notes

I feel as though i'm destroying myself, though I never want to stop.

In the first line I think you mean "off" the mirror?
This is a very good piece of poetry. The emotion is solid as is the struggle within oneself. Drugs seem to give us the illussion that everything is better, more beautiful and perfect. It is the euphoria that tends to make you want to keep going there. It is evident that in reality you can see all falling around you. It's a good piece of self expression. Addiction is a hard habit to break of anything, but espeically drugs.

I think we've all had the experiece of questioning all reality in one for or another. Be is with an addiction or just our mental well being in life. But we must remember that one cannot equate life, if they cannot find reality. It's sad, but true. I suppose the only way to find it is to question it often to find our paths in life. Good self expression here.

I loved it I loved how you ended each stanza with the same line except for the last time you used the same idea. I loved the description, and how the write was right to the point!

    Drugs

No words can be said about drugs that will ever make me smile other then that they should become invisible .

We all experience it. It is the same shaped hole in every heart. I hope you find the missing piece soon.
