Thank You, Swanee

I thought I couldn't
take care of so much urgency,
and emergency
so I searched for answers
from unlikely places,
and oh, how I messed up,
blinded through my need,
falling into comfortable
as if it would fold me safe.

Now, how could I adore enough
or capture enough wisdom
to give depth and repay a debt
to this savior that twirled
around my world with hope,
bringing light to my darkness.

All around there was music
that I didn't hear
as I danced with doubts,
I danced with monsters
that would scream
just to sedate the ache.

Then one day,
after the sky had melted
and rained all its bitter truth,
this flutterbye swan sashayed by,
stretched her wings,
and saved my life
with possibilities,
I now see where peace is planted.

Of course
it had been there all the time,
peace waits patiently,
it takes time to see
that bright bulb's
hidden treasure...
It just needed a little light.

Swanee provided and guided me
with a whole lot of that light!

Thank you, Swanee...

What a lovely dedication to Swanee, Nicky. Yourpoem reminds me of one of my favourite quotes "the applause of only one single human being can change the course of a life"...this is what I've found here.

's to both of you....for being "light".
