Her eyes turn down in the evening time
she says the stars, they shine too bright
and when it's sunny out and the clouds are gone
she says she can never see far enough
She lays in a bed surrounded by thorns and asks
why they won't cut her
Her lips are the poison apple
And when they kiss me I'll wake up
Treasuring every broken thought, every fear
every
denial
Sadness is her only option and I will
revere her thoughts
She asks me when we're alone and she's shown me
some of her heart
if I'll be the one that will make her let go
or the one worth holding on for
But there won't be any holding on
any clinging or gasping for air, your lungs enveloping
some cyanide oxygen
There won't be any clawing or any screaming
She can have her tears, her desperate tears
But when I am done she will stand tall
independent and in love
and I will be the one
to blame.

This is such a great poem. :] It's such a different type of love poem, and the originality of it is what makes it beautiful. :]
"She asks me when we're alone and she's shown me
some of her heart
if I'll be the one that will make her let go
or the one worth holding on for"
This is my favourite stanza. It's very cute and very lovely. :] This poem is wonderful.
