Gordian Knot

I said that you were a puzzle
and I heard your plea.
If you can’t figure who you are,
then you ask too much of me.

There are puzzles in this life
that don’t have a solution.
You ask for more than answers,
you ask for absolution.

You’re much more complicated
than the Gordian Knot’s construction.
The solution to that puzzle
was its ultimate destruction.

From the outside, looking in,
I find a wonderfully complex being.
Instead of seeking answers,
see the beauty I am seeing.

Life is complicated
and so are we, it seems.
It’s what gives our life its meaning
and how we realize our dreams.

Too often we think we must solve the problem rather than just admiring the beauty of the complex world we live in... and there IS beauty if you take the time to look.

    I agree! We are complex beings but that is the beauty in us... everyone is different and complex in their own way and I really enjoy people for that reason!
