"If you've got love in your sights
Watch out, love bites."
Love and Death were born together
Twins of the Forbidden Fruit
Labored in the stormy weather
Love came first; Death followed suit
As They grew, they packed a bite
Irreversible to man
Not even the greatest fight
Could destroy the Twins' great plan
In Love's bite, nectar flowed
Sweet and tangy swirled and mated
Heartbeats race and reason slowed
Till passion's poison finally faded
In Death's bite, bile seeped
Bitter liquid in the blood
Eyes would widen as it creeped
Until the heartbeat's final thud
They are sneaky, They are wild
Unbiased and merciless
Man and woman, even child
To Their wiles, they acquiesce

Great poem!
I loved everything about the poem - the rythm, the style, the story, the flow - if there was anything else I could ask for it, it'd be further exploration into the concept.

I love the way you write this, it reminds me so much of a poem I wrote a while ago called Love & Hate, about the relationships between them.
