The glorious Sun reflected off my unwatched back,
But he would not come closer than the distant horizon.
Brighten the day though he did,
I still remained at the edge of Tellus Mater;
Cemented there like a lonely Chateau.
I so often tried to tip myself
Beautifully over the final edge.
The magnificent blue river glided forwards,
And I was desperate to follow.
For so many ages I had stood here,
Untouched by an unloving society.
I have become a feature of this sacred environment,
And I refuse to allow my dreams to be desecrated.
