"Nothing makes you forget about love like sex."
(Stacie Beasley)
It was all tangled up in my hair, his craziness and my lust.
Had started on the bar under strobe lights and hands underneath
the shimmer. Could have been grinding hips to the soul music
but I gathered in his eyes and then I died a little more when he
tasted it on my lips. Consequence for every action and rubbing him
with sequined wine; red dress on and begging with that wry smile.
I hung on words and his tongue smoothed the bumps on the path home.
Two blocks from ecstasy and wine filled in the blanks of memories,
where friends had held hands, gifting each other warm breezes and
silent laughter. There was no movement from lips, wanting to say it
but ending up lame; 'I love you's' heard in chuckles from a brother to
a sister. Friend to friend. Night is drunken, staggering under rough fingers;
and rapid breathing. I stole a whole lifetime from us in an hour,
was I a thief? Now the victim of all I felt; you never took it back
and I never asked you for it.
I will miss lunchtime and how your hair looked when it rained.

This was a hot tamale of a sensual poem.

I remember the little moments every now and again, they can still make me smile

very interesting write and points out the reasons I
use the taxis and subways of life and lust as much as possible-
As I had stolen so damn many tokens-
and my Uncle Rashish has a fleet of taxis-
if all else fails-
car jacking is within the realm-
of possibility-
Hey, get that red Hummer to pull over-
here in the park-
will ya-
then-
step back-
