Aloha, mahalo,
howzit friend?
My life has
changed so much,
I don't know
where to begin...
Since moving to
Hawai'i, I've
learned a lot
of things, but
most of all,
I've learned,
what "Aloha"
means....
it is more
than a word,
you feel it
in the air....
Hugs and lei
are the way,
we "Hawai'ians"
show we care.
No "wiki wiki"
a slogan lived
by all,
means, don't
hurry, go
at snail's crawl.
Stopping to
"talk story",
can take hours
in a day,
depending on who
you meet and how
much they have to
say.
Flowers in every
color, shape
and size
Frangrant blossoms,
tease nose and eyes
Food from every
country, found
in every store,
bar-b-ques and picnics,
thrown on every shore.
Peaceful is paradise,
a magical, mystical
land,
except when Madame Pele
takes the upper hand...
Author notes
The island of Hawai'i is a beautiful place to live...
except when Pele (goddess of the volcano) is up to her tricks...
