A Father's Day Poem

My daddy never loved me,
nope,
not even for a day,
he's seen me only as a baby
with no recollection of his face

my pretty little room
with ribbons & bows
was never graced with bedtime stories
by the man who should be guiding me
No... my daddy never loved me,
and he never will,
now almost 35 years old
my existence is forgotten,
nothing more than
an unpleasant churn in his gut,
a distant thought... hey? didn't I once?
no daddy, you never did,
and that's sculpted me right up to today,
and I just want you to know
that fuck you daddy,
you never earned that title
and I know you never will

a good poem - ah some men just wander off into the night, they can not handle being a parent, they do not think of anyone but themselves really.
