In the Waiting Room

She has no words she can say -

the silence is almost as potent

as the moving numbers on the scale,
and the glimpse of the reflection;

as the dirt lining the speakers,
and the glances across the room;

as the darkness that suffocates,
and the rain that washes away life.

And she has nothing left she can say,
but a world's worth of words to speak.

    Sometimes there's so much to process that words indeed seem inadequate and unnecessary. A nice summary of a very real feeling.

    I think I would like to see the line spaces deleted, though, and just let the information provide the pauses. Like the title, too. : )

    Chelli,

    What a read! This says a lot darling. Simple, but yet ever so deep! What a great job! But that is what we always get from you!

    Ek is lief vir jou altyd
