September

We're running into the future
With mighty pens held high.
Ready for education
And who what when where why.
The evening is creaming
As the world lays at our feet
Sick of living a lie
Of apathy and deciet.

Waiting for what
September brings,
As we listen to
The tune summer sings.

Towards the unknown we head
With worries consuming
Leaving only dread,
Summer's blooming
and the skies lay red
Humidity is booming
Jack frost is dead.
Plants begin grooming
Picturesque,
                  this land we tred.

Author notes

Just a little something I penned before going into one of my final examinations. I feel it's quite rushed but the poem captures the raw message too well for me to change it.

    great piece!

i was wondering what was happening in spetember that was educational! haha awesome. hope the exam goes great. if it's a poetry exam you're laughing this poem is confident and hopeful, maybe a little anxious also, it's all there and it all makes perfect sense to read your author's notes and find out it's about an exam. brilliant work! jack frost is dead. love that! keep it up friend. -Jamie
