Simple pleasures are the best
Lime green pears, Jonathan apples, luscious wine,
A combination of antiques, and memories, collected
A still portrait, picked straight from the orchard vine
Constant images etched, in my fruity, aromatic brain
A reminder to sit very still, and just quitely listen,
To stop and smell the apples, along lifes long and winding road
Bottled emotions, in the minds window, just watch them glisten
If an apple a day, keeps the doctor away
Then eat two, and gnaw happily on the pear,
Accept the fruit from the heavenly Tree of Life
But only if you get God's permission, to even go there.

A nice piece to this image prompt. Filled with the images painted in this still life, filled with plentiful bounty - Very nice.
Thank you for your entry and best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela

a lot of modern day wisdom is here for the thought pattern to acquire. A vivid piece of depiction here, to give us still reminders, and I think that is an invite for return to this fine piece. It's almost album-like.
