Soft breezes of the future

have become winters chill of  loneliness.

I close my eyes and your face is a mere vapour of memory.

I reach back to yesterday and the emptiness is palpable.

As the light tries to reach through my fog

barbs of anger threaten my consciousness,

but is dispersed by wilting petals of  grief.

Finally I will rid myself of rememberances

that never really existed.

Truly a vivid and well expressed poem you have penned here. A very nice interpretation of the image prompt. Thank you for your entry!
