Some things shouldn't be rushed.
Like needlepoint,
cake decorating
and people..
the designs
never quite turn out the way they do
in your mind.
But I don't care;
fingertips will bleed.
So what.
Messy icing
tastes just as delicious
and I'm just going to eat it anyway.
Give me one reason

to

wait

for

you

and I'll get back to you
when it catches up with me.

many people, so critical and judgmental and pushy about things???? I wish they could take there time to open their superficial mind greg, i feel like thats what i would do at least. i love this poem, the way you can keep it in your mind that your doing just fine the way you are, and you don't need anyone trying to tell you to do it faster or slower, or this way or that... we as people need to learn how to do things on our own in order to discover ourselves properly and grow freely. i love this poem, mostly because to me its a statement to all the closed minded control freaks in the world telling them to back the fuck off!!! awsome write greg

and making messes
repeatedly
so its time to slow
and take two steps back
in order to get
to happiness

Hehehe. I LOVED this. For the simple fact that it took my 2 years of asking everyone i knew what that expression meant. Now, i know.
Though, this is a great poem depicting, pure emotion and it's great.
