Bleeding Hearts

Penetrating words scorch her soul

Leaving her clinging from a vine

The world upturned by him

His actions puncture her

Leaving just a bleeding heart

His world is red and white

Colored shamed and embarassed

Their laughs like venom

On the verge of insanity he blooms

And enters the world a bleeding heart

Together they hang

Side by side

Together they grow

Branch by branch

Both bleeding hearts

Mending eachother

This is a wonderful concept for how bleeding hearts came to be. I am not sure if that is what you meant to do but that's what it came out as. I like your approach to option 1. Nice work and good luck.
