Let's Be Thankful

Challenges are an everyday occasion. You asked the question what would change if I was President Bush? I respect the President of the United States, it is through his guidance that we are safe on the soil of the Good USA. America was brought down to our knees on that dreadful day in Sept which we would not like to see repeated. He was given no choice but to defend America and you can ask any service person and they will gladly respond to fighting for what this country believes in and that is freedom. Yes, we have lost alot of young men and women but they proudly defended the country they love.  Remember that it was also congress and the senate that agreed on sending the troops over to Iraq he had to have approval and there were very few that did not agree. Because of President Bush I know my children and grandchildren are safe from the evil terrorists that have no compassion for human lives. Through the helpfulness of America Iraq is a better place to live for the Iraqians. We are lucky to have a man who cares about America and to do what he has done he does deserve an applause. I will answer your question by saying that I would hope I would have the ability to make the people of the United States proud to be an American. God Bless America and God Bless the President of the United States of America.

    THANK YOU

    Mr. Maxwell,

Thank you for this breath of fresh air. I agree with everything you've written here, which will not surprise my liberal critics. Between you and I, it's killing me to do this contest because I could argue with all the Bush-bashers for years. The fact is, as you stated, we have not been attacked again since 9/11. Not even a firecracker has gone off here that wasn't sold at a 4th of July fireworks stand. I am always amazed with the lack of sympathy for someone who did what Bill and Hilary, Al Gore, John Kerry, Congress, etc., all agreed was the right thing to do - - invading Iraq and taking Hussein out of power since he had said he had WMD's, had threatened to use them against us, and was hampering weapons inspections, thus creating the impression that he was hiding WMD's.

I'd love to give this entry the gold but, as stated in the contest rules, and as I'm sure you knew when you entered this essay, I was looking for opinions from people who don't agree with the decisions President Bush has made. Now I've got to give a trophy to someone I don't agree with! It's a real exercise in tolerance for me. haha

Thanks again. I appreciate your input and salute you for remaining patriotic and seeing America for the wonder-land that it is despite the efforts of our mostly liberal, traitorous media.

    Mark

Thankyou for the entry into the contest but you may have misunderstood the mandate of the contest, it specifically asked for entries that offered different directions /directives as taken by President Bush, not a validation of those taken. With all due respect there are other contests that ask for what you have expressed, but indeed God Bless America and the rest of the world too.
