Impatient Patience

I’ve decided to resign
Myself, bide my time
And try to find
Something else to occupy my mind
As I unbind
The parts rendered blind
By this kind
Of obsession; because while I pine
Away, write my rhymes
It seems your thoughts don’t align
With mine
So until you’re inclined
To give me a sign
I will rewind
My emotions and confine
My hopes so they can’t malign
Like your voice that chimes
Incessantly in my head; but I’m fine
Yes, I’m resigned
I’ll let it go, give it time
And wait for you to find

Your way to me.

    Brilliant!

What wisdom, what a clever expressive lady you are. A lovely poem, I'm glad I added you as a favourite, I enjoy your work tremendously.

Wise, wise advice in the sort of world where we live. If you can do this, you can do anything! :-) I am reminded of the story of an impatient lady who prayed, and said, "Lord, give me patience! And give it to me right now!"

    • I'm guilty of that prayer for sure. I've got to wait on His timing though. :-) Thanks for the encouragement!
