Like feathered friends
in a quaint little town
precious petals turned toward the sun
standing tall upon stem
leaves extended,
as if to pray
in quiet contemplation
of greater galaxies;
of greener fields of forget me not's
Let me lie beneath you
where blades of grass tickle the senses.
Let me sip from your strength
gazing into hazy hues
from your humble view;
touching a ray of sun
as I stand in your shadow.
