~~Moonbeams and Dreams~~ (Non Entry)

Missing image
Yellow moon within night's womb, aura of succulent cream
Upon your ancient face does loom, a thousand bridled dreams~

They ride upon precariously, and latch onto your skin
And if fulfilled, miraculously, those dreams dig deep within~

Your craters and knolls, to them do lull, of you they are a part
They abide in in your very soul, you confide them to your heart~

They unite together, never to sever, those dreams become as one
They grow, then glow on out, from you my midnight sun~

But dreams by fate, that came too late, from you they found no care
They could not cling, you gave a fling, you cast them out to air~

Unfulfilled, those dreams you killed, you flung them out afar
But alas those dreams would not be still, and instead became a star~

How do you think such wonderful thoughts? It's because you are superb with writing nature poems... and nature and dreams mix so well.

    Dear Molly,

WOW!! This is a stunner! I can visualise the moon from your words even without the picture you posted with them.
As always, top marks for imagery and I agree with Maureen - it's a pity that, as contest host, yoiu had to make it a "Non-Entry".
Well done! Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)

This is just beautiful, Susan. You've created a poem even more beautiful than the image you posted with it, as wonderful imagery of your own casts it's spell on this piece.

I see you've posted as a non entry since you're the host of the sontest, but it could win a shiney trophy in any contest.

    love and
    Dee

Gorgeous poem. I love the internal rhyme and the rhythm works well also. The flow is beautiful, as are the images you employ.

Couplet 3, line 2: You have "within in" together. I would nix the word "in" there.

Susan, again you have used your magic with words and written a very myth-like verse. Love how you took forsaken dreams and turned them into stars. Such positivity from a negative situation. Your rhyming couplets are perfect and not at all forced. Glad to see you co-hosting a contest! Hope you are feeling better now. I miss talking to you. Have not been so good myself. Call me when you have time.
Too bad this wasn't an entry. hehe It probably would have won!
    Love,
    your sis xoxo
