There is so much in this world and in its people
Lairs and preachers, politicians and receivers
Now I have a message for you, but I need to say will you trust me?
I am a lair, a child, a deceiver
I’m a lover, a pacifist, and a preacher
The choice to listen is yours alone, but now you get the idea that I’m imperfect lets go!
Do you trust the impurity that beats in me?
It flows in all mankind, so can you hold your faith to us?
We are more then angels and devils, after all we can love the damned
Can you feel it, the beat of a heart
Crying out to any one, for salvation and love?
So my friend do you trust me, even though it is blood in my veins not the light of God
I am youth, as so many others are, see us now…
We are pure even though we are dirty, we are light even though we’ve been painted grey
We are filled with love, even though hatred exist, The youth in us is redemption, for we are able to choose
The Sins of the past are our scars, yet it is our choice alone
To live as we choose, as we desire, as we truly are, no devil can decide for us!
The light of Heaven and the darkness of Hell burn in the hearts of youth from past sin, do you trust Us?
This is who all the youth are, now I alone will ask do you trust me?
Do you trust me, even though I’m a sinner, do you trust my heart?
Can you believe in me, can you love me Christopher Karns, even with demon blood?
It is scarlet of Man not of Christ running through me
So can you love me, as they love Jesus, can you put your faith in humanity?
To love me as though I’m angel, even though I’m a mortal man so I am filled with evil
It is your choice, are we worth giving a second glace?
I’m one of mankind, and I offer my hand, so do you believe?
Do you believe in the love in my heart, in the light in my eyes and in the angel that I hide?
I’ll ask you only once, do you believe in love?
Like the love of God, who gave his only Begotten son for mankind
Can you love like that, love unconditionally, where all become divine?!
I hold my hand out to you in the name life
Darkness runs within every heart, but we are not evil by nature
So take my hand and believe in your God, believe in all humanity believe in everything!
Believe in the youth that has hope for redemption
Believe in our harmony and our love, believe that we are not our fathers and mothers yet still love them
Finally believe in your hope, believe in your faith and place it in our hearts, its all I ask please, trust me!
My trust, My faith is in the hidden angels in our hearts
I’ve spoken my peace, I’ve given you the choice and revealed truth
In every name the final choice is your’s alone, so pray before you answer me… Do you believe in me?

So tell me what your inspiration was for this write...It is very though provoking...as I was reading my mind was torn between saying yes, I will believe to saying...don't do it, he is lieing, he is trying to pull me in...and then back again to...yes trust him, he is a child reaching out. And now as I write and remember you words...I am still torn.
What does this mean...you have touched me with a struggle within myself. I shall ponder this write for awhile.

What inspired this? Thats an easy one, to believe in love when your a non believer of any religion and to believe we can choose our own fate. In this life Belief can change so many things as 'm sure your aware of, and we believe what we want to be "Truth." All my poem is is questioning the belief of all humans who read it to look beyond what they believe to see if their hearts are truly open.
As a spiritualist raised in a Christian environment, belief is everything and my fall from religion has been a struggle, hence all the Christian refences. We are human and we can very easily be evil. That is why I was inspired to look at both sides. Just as we can be evil, we too can be light for others.
In my short life there have been key TEENS who have shown me the love and purity I needed hence how I started talking about youth, we are not just our parents, no matter how much we love them. I'm simply not them, I'm me and in that way I as well as any child brings a chance to not follow the same mistakes their parents did such redeeming them...
So that enough to inspire you?

Line 2, did you mean 'Liars' instead of 'Lairs'?
'Lair' is said again in line 4, I am just wondering if this is intentional. Also, you have broken a rule. I said that I did not want thigns about religion. I also said that you should leave your username in your author's notes, which you clearly did not do. -

Oh Sorry I misread it as that you wanted anything including those. Oh well you can take me out. And honestly I just skimmed it saw prewrite and put mine in, next time I'll pay more attention.

Unbelievable
This is one of the most thought out pieces I've ever seen. Almost as if 'trust' was a person itself. Beautiful referrals to the imagery and personification of many worldy places and biblical entities. Trust has a bright and dark side...a very dark side. You have brought out what trust truly is in the form of art. This poem can be interpreted in a million different ways...regardless of your actually purpose; and in poetry that is key to developing a GREAT poem. Are humans trustworthy? Can we trust our religions? Can we trust our communities? Can we trust ourselves? I was in awe reading this I had to read this multiple times. Abuse the open contests with this poem...it's BRILLIANT. 10 out of fucking 10. EASILY!
