the blue birds stop chirping
the jolly choir stops singing
the grey wolf stops running
the chubby baby stops giggling
the little girl stops smiling
the proud trees stop swaying
the green frogs stop croaking
the curious bugs stop crawling
the soft cat stops purring
the gurgling river stops flowing
the fresh ice stops melting
the ancient dust stops settling
the vibrant grass stops growing
the plentiful fruit stops harvesting
the bright stars stop twinkling
the clear sky stops bluing
the determined flowers stop blooming
the sly hyena stops laughing
the patient leaves stop falling
the enormous sun stops shining...
but the adult goes on.
This is what happens when a fairy cries.
Author notes
The picture kind of looked like a fairy to me, and this is based around the idea that the world is linked to the happiness of fairies.

woooow!
i absolutely LOVE it!
i've seen quite a few poems, and this one is really stiking!
it is so sad, yet so true how adults close their minds to imagination etc.
you've used some great imagery and described things well!
keep writing!!!
i shall look at your other writes... -
Loved the message here and the simple formatting made it a pleasure to read. The ending kinda snuck up on me but in a good way. well done and best of luck!!

This is a wicked good poem!! I love how you ended all the words in -ing, which made awestumm repitition.
and is bluing a word?
One thing that I think could've made it better is even though all -ing words somewhat rhyme, really words like mowing and growing would would better together than laughing and shining or something like that. But it was really really good
