Tommorrow I'm climbing
to the top of that tree,
that sits out by my street
like a pirate...that's me,
sitting high in the tree's top,
my crows nest will be
a place to be young again,
.....seven plus three.
I'll pluck long,
straight branches
using them as my sabers,
I'll throw monkeyballs
--o..... --o...... .... --o.... cannonshots!!
at my nieghbors,
with a patch over one eye,
and a paper towel tube,
as my telescope spying
on all who intrude.
I'll hang a white sheet
with some clothesline and sail,
over oceans of grass
with a bloodcurdling wail,
with a bucket for a bathroom,
I'll dump my slop pail,
on the landlubbers whining
that I should be in jail.
I'll sneak down at night
when I'm back from high seas,
to make silent raids on
the pub Mickey D's,
breaking in, stealing bounty,
of their pre-cooked McFish,
then swiping ten milkshakes,
pirates take what they wish.
I'm tired of adulthood,
they don't have much fun,
I'm going back to my childhood,
the make believe one,
but if I can't climb down,
cause I'm now 83,
call 555-and then dial- 1233,
tell the fire department to
come rescue me

Hey you sound like a lot of fun
The problem with me is, even though i'm an adult, i still wanna do those things. You be the pirate and i'll pretend i'm Peter Pan and jump off my bed to see if i can fly..i spent many an hour in my room doing that as a kid, til my mom yelled at me ..Dont jump on the bed! Spoil sport eh
