Dear God
I will humble myself
before you as I seek
my solace in a quiet
sanctuary looking to
you for guidance. In
far too many ways I
have lost my faith. I
have lost the notion
of hope somewhere over the course of my life and now I only
wonder why. Wondering why I am here, where it was that my
dreams died, why everywhere I turn it seems there is a never
ending ocean of only suffering and pain. Pondering my dark
thoughts on why the world seems to have lost all compassion
and mercy for another, that now seems to be replaced with a
cynical hypocrisy, a lack of understanding and an intolerance
to those who we see
as different. For me
I’ve found my peace
only in nature, such
comfort in her warm
beauty. Yet I feel as
though there should
be something more,
something spiritual
that reaches inside
to the depths of my
being. Perhaps it’s
already there and I
am just unwilling or
unable to see it. I’m
asking for your sign.

This poem is amazing. I love how sincere it is and how you are honest and don't hold back.

SWEET!
Yes, it is already there, and personally, I think your sign is right in front of you. This write proves that for me. And the shape is heavenly. Do you mind if I use it? I adore shaped poems, and this is the first time I have EVER saw one as special as this. You are one smart cookie! Pure brilliance.

This is very powerfully written. I enjoyed the rantish tone that this poem took. I also like how it was straightforward, as it helped you get your message across. Of course the shape is also nice. Great write!

Beautiful, spiritual, natural. I felt as though the words just flowed onto the cross without seeming forced or rigid. I can really personally connect to this poem as well. Good job on your "shape poem." I've never tried one of these maybe I should sometime.
