Shopping

My favorite place is at the mall
Where everything is new
I’ll purchase anything at all
That’s what I love to do
I love to shop and buy new clothes
I shop for perfume with my nose
I love to shop
I love to shop
I shop in stores until they close

My favorite place is at the mall
That’s where I strut my stuff
I shop all day and have a ball
And I can’t shop enough
I look so cute, the boys agree
And love it when they’re watching me
I look so cute
I look so cute
I wiggle my anatomy

My favorite place is at the mall
Where I can spend all day
When shopping I feel ten feet tall
Until I have to pay
A credit card is what I use
To pay for clothes and brand new shoes
A credit card
A credit card
The plastic money I abuse

Author notes

 Prompt: "New"

Trijan Refrain:
The Trijan Refrain, created by Jan Turner, consists of three 9-line stanzas, for a total of 27 lines. Line 1 is the same in all three stanzas, although a variation of the form is not to repeat the same line at the beginning of each stanza. In other words, the beginning line of each stanza can be different. The first four syllables of line 5 in each stanza are repeated as the double-refrain for lines 7 and 8. The Trijan Refrain is a rhyming poem with a set meter and rhyme scheme as follows:
Rhyme scheme: a/b/a/b/c/c/d,d refrain of first 4 words of line five /c

Wonderfully lighthearted take on new, your rhyme and meter are as perfect as ever and yet again you walk off with our points. A pleasure doing business with you, lets see if someone can knock you off the top in Fantasy and the later rounds.
    Have fun

this poem makes me happy - like shopping at he mall! I love this form for this subject matter, it felt just right.
...and about shopping - I love it too. A bit too much. I just need a shopping video game or a virtual somesuch so I can get all the satisfaction without the after-guilt.
    Great poem. - NANGALEEMA

Cutesy. I got a chuckle out of it, as I knew such girls. Me, I'm not a shopper - the idea of a mall makes my hair stand on end. But this is fun, flouncy and frolicsome!
