A Lil Brown Box

I mailed you my heart in a lil brown box.
I wrapped it with care
With paper to spare
I included a note held down with some rocks
With the simple message "My love, I Surrender."
I mailed it that day
Only to find it in May
With a new message to say "Return to sender."
I broke down and cried
For my love was denied.
