the joy of sitting near you
can only be compared to one other
that day I finally saw you
after two long months of waiting
that hug that never ended
as all looked and awed
I can still feel your arms around my waist
lifting me up and spinning me round
the tears of joy which fell that day
you were so sweet to my mom
a shock she never expected
but the biggest shock of all
is the day we first met
a friend stood between us
but it was love at first sight
soon all would ask if it was I in your eye
months would come before that day
