Standing in the midst
of all walks of life
I headed and thrown out advice;
To get to the top
with everything material in possesion
so I have been told
by famous powerful people
do crush all the competition
and don't look back
even if it means destroying others
this advice has been thrown out like the wind;
But by my own Uncle millionaire was he to say the least
I said with my 14 year old self
way back then
Uncle Pete you have everything
You own this big company
I would attend his parties
politicians, actors all of the elite were there
He took me by the hand
looked me directly in the eyes
and said my dear
niece God daughter
when I was young all the parties seemed grand
I am tired of the parties
and all the fake friends
I was to busy to see
the most important things in life
Dear goddaughter
the most important thing
are the loved ones you hold dear
do not let life
or stuff let it pass you by
the most important things in life
will be in front of you right before your eyes
I am old and regret
missing all the little things
to caught up
in all the clout and esteem
don't forget about your loved ones
no matter what you do.
And never ever judge a person by there clout,
race or looks
always love everyone give them all a chance
we all have souls.
because your angel might be sitting there
right before your eyes.

This was so, heartful... I felt so much emotion behind it, but I can not explain the feelings I felt while reading. I think, right now, since I read this poem and what he said... I won't let the little things get past me. I will make true friends, and live life the way I want too. And not grow up too fast. This was just... brilliant. I loved it to death.

Beautiful, your uncle was a wise man. He had truly ascened this life. His love superceded everone around him. He had truly figured out what life meant. What its means to live.This was a beautiful piece.Remember what he said. Cherish it in your heart.One person said: who had money, to a poor person.I may have all the money but when I die, presidents and politicians will come to my funeral, but when you die your friends and family will be there.The rich guy would give up any amount of money to be with his family.
