Hopeless Sleep

My mind is ragging
Like the deep blue sea
With my strongest and most nutritive thoughts
Struggling against silence.
“ I cannot sleep.”
The barriers of the unknown
I must face tomorrow .

Like the trees
“Striving in the wind”
I hunger in dismay .
To make it through the night,
While other bodies sleep.
I wait for the moon to fade.
Just to see if I will Prevail the day.

    Yes!

This is a feeling I know well 'cause one of the illnesses I deal with is a Sleep Disorder! Sometimes even though I take medicine for this I still can't sleep. It's times like this I really more fervently & just try to remind myself that He'll be with me through another day! Nice work poet. Glad you won a trophy 'cause you deserved one.

Interesting choice of words and metaphores. I like the hunger in dismy line, it particularly carries a feeling of deep anxiety. Hope the next day turned out alright.

    I can relate.

I can relate to this because I have had those kind of nights myself and it is hard especially when you have a long day ahead of you.

A very nice right. Heartfelt. Lovely depth of feeling. Very nice simile. Good imagery, flow and tone. Good word choice, nice alliteration and assonance. Best wishes in the contest.
