Was it me or the tree
one of us had to be
the tree said it was me
around the soft ground, footprint proof
laughter and gay song, wine too
I said it was the tree
all bent by wind and never came back again
to the shape god gave ya,
nothing could save ya...just a lonely tree
if you were a princess like me
you could tell the wind to stop
make the ground settle and drop like wet sponge
plop, straighten up!
But you just a tilt-ee tree,
least 'til somebody cuts ya down.

This is clever and funny, I enjoyed the dialogue between tree and "princess" and their perspectives on each other. Thanks for this entry!

You playing!!! Even when writing humour you still put thoughts between and upon the lines.
The point of view on each side. You see it half full, I see it half empty, I stand straight, you are he one bending. Very clever way to play with words here.
All is always more fun when we don't think too much, right?
I enjoyed this one.
