Darkness and Falling

I'm empty but not lonely,
Scared but not afraid,
I sit alone in silence,
Seldom ever tame.

My life belongs to no one,
My soul a wretched state,
But what I hold to dearly,
You will never take away.

Someone once told me,
That life is just too short,
But then I found reality,
Inside a judge's court.

So now I search for meaning,
In a world with no taste,
With no one intervening,
Hoping this will be erased.

So where is life heading,
When everything's the same,
No one knows what I'm dreading,
Or what I have became.

So save me from my hell hole,
Rescue me from my pain,
Take away the sorrow,
And try to hide the shame,
Of what my life's turned into,
Where everything's the same.

I feel so lost and strange,
I don't know my name,
They call me Nexx and Lewis,
But that's not who I'll claim.

I can't silence these voices,
Inside my head they roam,
Looking for a reason,
For my mind to own,
They torture and they tease me,
Their sins I can't atone,
They blind me with their madness,
Then begin to leave me alone.

This torture is a gun,
This pain is the trigger,
I look at what they've done,
The barrel seems much bigger.

Watch the pain slip away,
And live my life without the madness,
To survive another day.
