a girl and her razor

hello my friend
its nice to see your shining face
i know we've been apart so long....

see my wrists friend
they welcome you openly
so soft and tender
they yern for your touch

help them dear friend
supply to their needs
they've waited so long for this moment to come
i know my friend i prommissed not to see you

shhhhh now my friend
no one will see you
work your sweet magic
bring my release

i wont lock you away
like they all wanted me to
you are mine now and mine alone
i wont hurt you
wont let them take you

please now just take me away from this place
i need sweet surrender
to set me out from the croud

i need to remember that my pain isnt mine
i dont own this dark soul
i dont own this sweet face
i dont own these thin arms
but you friend you are mine

Author notes

i miss my own razor blades so i wrote them a poem ... yes i still talk to them when i'm lonely....

it feels good to revert back to the dark side every once in a while doesn't it?

WOW! I love this poem. I love how you used cutting as a friend. I never thought of it like that. I wrote a poem about hurting myself but it wasn't as good as this. I might post it and/or make a new one. You inspired me.

Oh yea and you know what this poem reminds me of? This song called Girl with Golden Eyes by SIX:A.M. If you know anything about this artist, you know he is talking about an addiction that he has to drugs. Which cutting is a lot like an addiction. But, such a good addiction in that. I should know. No, I know.

    Here is the link.
    Beautiful song like your poem.

Wow you really hit the nail on the head.
That is really how it is for many people including me.
It's truly up to everybody to stop being a friend to the razor.
Hope you and I can find that someday.
    Take care.

    Very good write!!
I can relate a lot, sometimes it feels that all you have is a razor and it's your only friend.
    Love the part that says,
    see my wrists friend
    they welcome you openly
    so soft and tender
    they yern for your touch

    Amazing Keep it up!!!

Letting the shadow of our souls out everyonce and a while can be very liberating to those of us who know how to live with it.... The release you find in dripping salvation is also attainable through other such shadow plays, but i think you enjoy this enough that offering another way might be foolish on my part.... Oh look now i've ranted on so... Anyway it was a lovely poem, well written and heartfelt... Good job, i liked it a lot!
    peace,
