"This user is Ignoring you..."

So the message says,
and I am surprised to find it;
I read the poem and was about to
write a wonderful comment
in praise of your wonderful talent.

But then I saw the message,
and I thought, "What the hell?"
I try so hard to make friends
and few enemies, but it takes
only one enemy to kill...

What did I do to piss you off?
Won't you at least tell me
before you leave a message
saying "I'm ignoring you"?
I'll admit, something has gone wrong.

Don't know what it is
that I did to hurt you.
I suddenly came on one day
to read your poetry
only to find "I'm ignoring you."

Author notes

Yes, to my surprise, I found this to be true today, by someone I admired in their poetry. What can I say?
I keep very few, in fact only 3 on my ignore list; 2 ignore me - one I know why, but this came as a surprise.

    Poets are sensitive souls and some people just can't take an honest critique. I don't know what happened but I know it was upsetting. Nice poem on a difficult subject

    wow that sucks.. I HATE being ignored. but the nagain who doesnt well is the persons lost not yours.. adn great write!

    They must've accidentally clicked the ignore user link. There's no way that someone would want to ignore you intentionally.

    This poem was very interesting. It kept my attention, because it actually had a message to it. Nicely written!

    many large heads, share little room
    weapons of words, spelling out doom
    one in a thousand, thriving on pain
    smile when they hurt, not much to gain
    hold your head up, overlook that slight
    could be someone, ignored there write
    leaves them angry, hence they will bite...

    This is a nice write. I am on someone's ignore list too and I have no idea why but I am ok with it. I am a person worth knowing and you are too so don't let it bother you!!

    That happened to me once before. Didn't recognize the username either. Don't let it bother you though. It's so insignifigant.

    On the flip side, I've ignored several people without telling THEM why. I had my reasons though.

    i have yet to feel someone ignoring me on AP, and i have yet to ignore someone. and i hope neither of the two come to pass. however, i do think this is a nice write

    wow... and i know what it feels like to know that a user is ignoring you. i hate it, especially one that you like... and its just over some silly fight or something. i like this poem tho. good job!

    Well, the title attracted me to this because this has never happened to me! And I must admit, like you, I'd feel quite upset if it did. Oh well, their loss! Bravely and honestly written.
