Suffocation

I am so afraid of hurting you
Of feeling that final breath
I want to protect you
Never let you be hurt
I want to erase your pain
And those memories of what she did
But guess what?
I can't do it all for you
I guess I let you down
So now it's my turn to walk away
And releave my suffocation

sometimes you really give your whole - so long as the other person knows...they must at least be compelled to help themselves right..?

great write - there really is a feeling of suffocation in the first part of the poem (mission accomplished?)

Wise words from one so young... but no ever said wisdom had an age limit ... Well spoken - from your heart I hope...

it's true, it's true, one has to save themselves when one of these people come around and the strange thing is, one usually feels responsible and guilty if things go more wrong for them, but they are to blame themselves, you said it well with this poem.
