Slanderous lies flung
from jealousies lips
Shattering images
of innocence...
Deceitful barbs
take root..
And false facades
crumble..
Loosening inner
sanctums..
Falling prey
to maliciousness.

How true it is... And some people are able to yank the rug frrom under you so quickly, you aren't even aware you are crumbling, until the pieces hit the floor... Awesome...

excellent take on the prompt. this poem is very powerful to me. its sad that people do this each other. words whether they are spoken or whether they are written are powerful and can destroy someone.. ones self esteem can crumble within a short period of time. the imagery throughout this poem of yours is quite astounding.
excellent job on the poem
good luck in the contest
