Fuck War

Children are punished for fighting,
Adults can go to jail for fighting,
Why than i want to know is it ok for the goverment,
War is nothing but a fight between nation leaders,
our people die everyday over there,
But who is being punished for there death,
Who is being punished for the pain caused,
No one we all just sit back and let it happen,
Well i say fuck war.

War is not a needed,
if people could just grow up,
War would not happen,
Why not talk instead of shoot,
And what kind of people kill inocents,
I'm not saying that i disagree with the US,
I'm just saying in a world of smart people,
Why cant one person think ofsomething other than war,
Fuck war, fuck death, and bring my friends back.

Author notes

The font color/background was very hard to read. I agree with the message, as strongly worded as it is. The title might be a tad strong but in the end, I agree whith what you are saying. Good job =]

Lol you're right it's not really a good peice....yet. I can relate to feeling something and writting it from the core with no cuts or edits. But i think since this is such a powerful peice that so many can relate too its worth the time and love to come back and work on it. It might take a few times but every time you peel back the layers and reveal the strong red burning core that you're trying to show. I try not to tell people what i think cand be changed because i don't know exactly what it is they're trying to display. So im not going too. All i know is if and when you do decided to take another shot at this please let me know. I'd love to see it's evolution.

I know that I agree with this poem. I have a freind that has joined the Navy one of the safer branches of the military but I still fear that when he gets done with his nondeployable shore duty and ends up on a ship that he isn't sent over to Iraq or Korea or whereever it is that they are fighting now. It is senseless this loss of life. How many innocents are caught in this tragic episode of children fighting in the sand box (analogy here). I don't like war and I like the people who instigate it even less. I DON"T agree with the government and never will unless they drastically change their childish ways.

I agree with this poem. I think the war has been driven out way too long. I think in a way we are a hypocritical nation.

when i was a kid i was encouraged to fight then as soon as i was an adult and did exactly how i was taught i was then punished for it! we give children toys of war then say later make peace. we live in a topsy-turvy society. a good poem.
