Memo

ii.
The world is silent. Windows shut, walk out
shell walls hug lonely air
there is nothing, fingers of wind find no one there -
feet fall through empty space. You shout.
The world is silent. I turn on the radio
frequency vibrates, fingers irate, scratch
the TV screen. Lost minds, lost tiny universes
your dandelion explodes in cotton breath

iii.
I don’t know. Forget who to be. Forget who to know.
Dance, wear crazy hats, spiral in colour just so
that they can see you. I don’t know. Remember that
love in your head can be translated – we are ordinary
this world is just so wary as the next
take a word – hold not so close, yet do not let
it slip away. Let invisible arms of tenderness hold,
not rope.

iv. v.
I cry sometimes. Did you know that? It does not come
easily... Icicles force into my throat, like gulps
but Irish skin never shows, rosy blush is snow and skin
stays calm. Don’t go. Whoever you are, that’s all I say
some have thoughts, others forget, some people wish
and that is my wish – solitude is better not alone
paradoxes have never bothered me so much.

vi.
All I can say is all that we are. The distance we sob
is never so far, the difference we have is measured in miles
And millimetres, measured in tears and voltmeters,
in electrical impulses
that judder the heart and start it, stop it, hold it, drop it..
One thing – before you jump: how
far is it?
Can you afford
to fall?

Interesting one... it's somehow creepy and dark, yet it still keeps the feeling. Distance, yes... the distance so intense you put between reality and an inner mind. I wonder why doesn't this have more comments. It's pretty.
