Step through the old door and feel the shivers creep.
Hollow faces twisting out of shadows so deep.
That close, yet distant past you desperately try to keep.
The Moon drifts through the curtain.
And faint piano keys chime.
You listen to the wind howl.
Watching Chandelier crystals dance along the blinds.
You take your first step.
And tiptoe silently up the stairs.
Your breath cuts off.
As you approach a freezing cold air.
You snap back to now
And continue down the hall
Echoes is all you can hear
Apart from the occasional screaming call
You're not sure where you're going
But you know it's what you have to do
What did seem several small steps,
Looking back now seems enormously more than a few
The hall has swallowed you whole
Still, you carry on walking
Everything's come to a deafening stand still
Now you can't even hear the talking
You tap onto the door
It opens as if it knew
You take a shuddering breath
And creep on through
What you expected to see
Is deffinately not there at all
There is no monsters, ghosts
Or evil spirits standing tall
You scream at the object
Smashing it to pieces
Smiling happily
As it's glory quickly decreases
You creep back out
You creep spiralling down
Towards the light you came from
Blocking out that distant sound.
