Crayons and a picture was Gage’s treat
When mom and dad went out to eat
One blue, one red, both held tight
Bringing our toddler such delight
They tried to get him to say the names
But blue was red he did exclaim
After a few tries mommy gave up
On calling the blue one red, he was stuck
Dad tried to correct but it wasn’t a hit
Gage quickly replied, “its red damn it!”
After that, there was no more to say
That’s one time Gage got his way
