you seek the redemption from today's differences
you think you know the truth of it all
but the strangeness of it all
is you're living among it day by day
so how many special people change?
when all you want is to be the same
how many lives are living strange?
when all you dream is to to go back to normalcy
but I'll escape from it all
to live among the dreamers
and bring back the peace I felt before
look around and I'll be gone
living life one day at a time
where were you when we were getting high?
high on life
high on love
high on everything and nothing all at once
you think you can judge us by our sad decisions
but look around and I'll be gone
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky
where it all escapes and fades away
where all the dreams come once again
and you can't lie to yourself anymore
the sun goes up
the sun goes down
but soon enough the life will die away
let's dream of what we had
and remember what will never be
where were you when we were getting high?
you think you know it all
but you don't know anything
let the truth be told
no one does
not even I
so here I go no life's journey
dreaming big and dreaming small
let's just be what we think is right
so how many special people change?
how many lives are living strange?
where were you when we were getting high?
we were getting high
we were getting high
and now we're gone
and someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky

Thank you for entering the "Music-related poetry" competition. As far as our forthcoming show is concerned, as I mentioned in the competition rules, we find that, generally speaking, free verse does not work well in live shows. Moreover I do not think that our audience would know of the group you mention...
So, as far as the show is concerned, this is rather a non-starter. However, that does not affect its chances in the competition. I shall be returning to all the poems early next week to complete the judging. So please be patient. -
I like how you incorporated the song into your poem hun.
and I completely understand
