The Dictatorship

The Dictator stands at the pedestal
Peace and justice he does preach
He promises justice, love and wealth
He promises all within his speech.

The Dictator commands an army
The army feels he is just
The army know he's true
The army give him their trust

The Dictator has the power
The Dictator has the might
But the Dictator is unseen
As the people are left in plight

His country is full of suffering
His country is full of pain
The Dictator commands obedience
Whilst the hurt continues to reign.

The Dictator is in seclusion
But the army protect his name
Their people suffer all the while
The country is aflame.

The army now preach trust
Belief in your Dictator
Should you question His motives
You are nothing but a traitor.

Should you dissent or question
Should you dare ask why
Should you question their worth
Should you dare defy

Banished! From existence
Banished from the land
Banished from this world of hurt
Banished from His land

So the dictatorship continues
And suffering abounds his land
Whilst the Dictator's army preaches
The love within his plan

I choose to question the Dictator
I choose to ask him why
I choose to push for answers
Why children have to die

Why wars and disease and suffering
And rape and murder all abound
If the Dictator is so powerful
Why does he screw around?

If the power is true, and his love for the just
The dictator should be acting, not lingering wanderlust

I'm curious. If you stumble upon this, can you tell me if you 'get it'?
