i lost my glasses the other day...everything turned blurry to some extent...then my eyes adapted...i still cant see very well,blame it on genetic flaws and whatnots...then it got me thinking...what if our perception was different from what we actually know right now ?
what if we saw things differently...or smelled or touched or heard things in another way...
or maybe we even had some other sense...
smtg new...smtg totally unexperienced before...
how would we handle it ?
it is said,and new research points it out more and more,that reality is created by the mind...well what if we had another mind...smtg that works based on different patterns than the ones we know...what if our whole structure was different...would we even call ourselves humans...or the concept wouldnt exist...or maybe i wouldnt even be thinking what i'm thinking right now...or writing it...or wondering...
maybe all my questions would already have had answers to them thus rendering them obsolete...
and then this whole rambling of mine wouldnt even exist...it wouldnt need to...and i'd probably ramble on smtg else...like wondering what a wild flower would smell like if smtg like smell actually existed...
i'm gonna shut up now.

Interesting thoughts! Did you know there are people who have synesthesia? People like this may see sounds — as well as hear them; seeing or "knowing" the colors, sexes, and personalities of letters, numbers, and other symbols; feeling weight and shape on their bodies by just tasting something; and smelling colors. I watched a documentary on this once...fascinating stuff! Pam

i've always thought about having another sense
i mean how can we be sure that seeing and smelling and ext... is all there is?? perhaps there could be more than these amazing senses!
and how can we be sure that green is green??

Have u seen a movie called 'Quelques Jours En Septembre'? It's one of my favorite movies, and there's one scene in particular that this reminded me of.

We look at a green object and we can all agree that it's green, but how can we be sure that we all see the same thing when we look at a 'green' object? -
